Fun fact: I originally wrote a similar blurb of explanation in my reply,
then removed it opting for a simpler reply.
Indeed some vendors might choose different support timelines, but nobody
announced such a move ATM, I suppose divergence is possible but for a while
it seems likely that the Oracle LTS cadence will be highly influential on
version choice decisions.
so what matters for us is that we need great quality with any JVM release
as soon as they are released.
LTS are of notable interest not because of us spending more QA love on
them, but because they implicitly mark a time in which we can finally drop
compatibility with older stuff, and benefit from cool new stuff.
