Hibernate 3.2.4 Transaction Lookup is failing

We upgraded Hibernate from version 3.1.3 to version 3.2.4.  Creating the connection and transaction worked using  3.1.3 although when upgrading using Hibernate 3.2.4 it fails creating the transaction.
