By the way, I don't know if you can get the SessionFactory from HEM. I know that we have a switch to bind the EMF into JNDI, and I'm assuming that there is some way to do the same with a SF instance. If not, we should seriously consider adding this option, so that over time we can move to a unified deployment approach with hibernate.cfg.xml, API, etc. being the fallback.
