I's also seeing this error and have two possible solutions. This is because I made two changes on the same time ;)

A) First is, that actually installing the EMF fixes the problem. I installed GMF Europa edition and things started to work like charm !

B) Second one is that I had spaces on my project name "XXX XXX XXX XXX" and did a project rename to a name without any spaces on the project name. Changing the project name also changed the directory name where the project lies.
