Hibernate does generate ON DELETE CASCADE dll by adding following line into to HBM file
 <key on-delete="cascade" >
                <column name="<YOUR FOREIGN KEY column>" precision="22" scale="0" />
 </key>

Therefore CASCADE delete works with HQL.
