I've been tinkering with some tests, it was working correctly but it is very slow :-|

5 to 7 times the time to use BitSet ands... going to look at it again.

It's just a "microbenchmark" of the type you should never use for reliable measuring,
still for a 5X margin I don't think I need much more precision at the moment.
