What about the names "shared" and "shared-buffer"?
should "shared-buffer" disappear and be called "shared"?
Or should I only change the default?

this is important as most changes are in the docs.
I would like to replace the meaning of the names, so you
don't have to update the book.

In this case should the new one be instantiated both by
"shared-buffer" and "shared"? Should the old one be given a name?
