bean validation  lets you define a group sequence ensuring some ordering between a group of constraints and an other group of constraints but this can become complex to implement for a client side validation framework: I am thinking of opening an API to the BV spec to solve that problem internally (as we have to solve it anyway) and push the result to the metadata API client.
