The test on org.hibernate.search.test.embedded.EmbeddedTest#testIndexedEmbeddedAndCollections can be easily adapted to reproduce this bug. Also, I the attached diff is between my local fixed version of it and the revision 15212 (current trunk revision). It passes all hsqldb tests with no regressions. Additionally, it passes the original HSEARCH test (indicating the bug was fixed). 

There are some failures in MSSQL and MYSQL, which exists with and without the fix. But please, as I don't know the ANN code that much, review this change. I may have changed in the wrong place :-)
