Patch for hibernate 3.2.6, which adds configuration options
hibernate.cache.execute_update_clear_cache = true|false

default is true
true means criteria.executeUpdate() clears all caches defined in *.hbm.xml
false means criteria.executeUpdate() doesn't clear caches defined in *.hbm.xml
