Blah, this is an absolute show stopper for us.  I can't even turn on the max_fetch_depth as a workaround due to invalid sql getting generated due to some of our filters (i think).  

Does anyone know what change might be causing this issue or how widespread it might actually be? i.e. does it only affect criteria api?
