Hi Harry, could you please elaborate on why you need that to be upgraded in a minor version?
Why are you not using Hibernate Search 4?
As far as I know there are no breaking changes in Lucene 3.3 compared to 3.1 so it should work.

I'm not saying no, but I'll need some arguments on why we should introduce a big change in a minor version branch.
