Sanne Grinovero commented on HSEARCH-677:
-----------------------------------------

from a project management perspective that would clean things up and make sure at compile time that it's nicely separated, and be useful for Infinispan Query as we could make sure the Search engine works fine without needing to pull in all of core and it's dependencies as it currently is the case. It would also be nice to ease deployment of Query-using applications using Search versions not necessarily compatible with the Hibernate Core eventually embedded in the app server.
Still this means one more module to pull for developers; this case seems worth it but it I hope we won't fragment it too much: for example could we re-merge the Infinispan module? it was separated as it would depend on Java6.
