3.6 works, it has only one bug that SQLServer2008Dialect does not extend SQLServer2005Dialect but plain SQLServerDialect 
in practice this means that you don't get new paging functionalty via row_number, so to get that in 3.6 use 2005 dialect even if you use 2008 sql server...
