Ok, I started looking at this in earnest today and wanted to document issues I ran into as I run into them so that we hopefully have a more detailed trail of what specifically needs to get done.

First issue is that the gradle jdocbook plugin does not seem to be doing anything (or its not doing what I anticipated) with "transformerParameters".  I need to override the 'html.stylesheet' XSLT parameter (as defined in http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/pressgang/pressgang-tools/trunk/pressgang-xslt-ns/src/main/resources/xslt/org/jboss/xhtml-common.xsl) but my attempts so far have had no luck.
