I agree too, but this is unlikely to happen without mayor changes, which requires a lot of performance testing. It's not looking very likely I can make this before 4.1 final.

Normally I would say "please do it yourself" but I realize this is a though one. You're welcome to try, even a POC should help, but I need you to test performance on relatively large databases.
