Actually Hibernate Search already forces Jackson 1.9.2 in its POM
https://github.com/hibernate/hibernate-search/blob/master/pom.xml#L177

So I'd recommend the module to align. I will open a separate issue to upgrade Avro to 1.6.3 but only for 4.2
