Madhumita, could you please attach the complete console output of this test (http://ci.jboss.org/jenkins/view/hibernate/ temporarily unavailable)? I cannot reproduce this issue on up-to-date (12 May 2012) master branch running local Sybase 15.7 database. The following query is executed without any issues:
