See the artifacts in  {{ hibernate-core/src/main/resources/org/hibernate/jpa }} : these are probably no longer necessary, while we will need to include the new resources.

Should also explore the feasibility of throwing reasonable error messages in case someone attempts to use this version with the old JPA APIs - perhaps we would still need the xsd files for that?
