Ouch, my fault of not creating a JIRA! created now:

I'll check out Francisco's test today; very glad someone contributed a
test for this, as it's working fine in all stress tests I've thrown at
it in the past.. so I hope it's some configuration detail.

Anyway, you should use Lucene 3.6, that's the tested dependency for
both Infinispan 5.2 and Hibernate Search 4.2
