It will be Cliff (CC) that would lead this effort. I'm not sure he'd start that early but please keep him involved in the discussions/technical decisions. 
Who's going to develop this BTW?
Also I guess this will be hosted/integrated as a community project? If so I've created a repo for it here: https://github.com/infinispan/cpp-client
