I think there might be some problems when updating a pull request, i.e. the teamcity doesn't re-post the latest build status. I'll try to track that and raise a bug for TeamCity's github plugin.
As a workaround, TeamCity allows you to track a pull request by it's number though, see the left hand side column (red frame): http://screencast.com/t/Ac0TWHNAqFv. Just click on the number and see the result of all the builds for that pull request. e.g. http://ci.infinispan.org/viewType.html?buildTypeId=bt9&branch_project2=1473&tab=buildTypeStatusDiv
