Any idea how to replicate this?
If you get the chance to replicate this again, can you make sure you enable TRACE on VersionAwareMarshaller class? The original exception is logged at TRACE level which would indicate where in JBoss Marshalling that NotSerializableException is coming from. When marshalling, there's a couple of places where this could be coming from.
