Dave Marion commented on ISPN-863:
----------------------------------

I read over JBCACHE-11, seemed to get complicated pretty quickly. I was thinking of a more coarse-grained approach that was not a per cache setting, but a global one. If used memory greater than some threshold (i.e. 85%), then start evicting entries from the caches according to the cache specified eviction strategy. Maybe a naive thought on my part, but probably an easier to implement first cut. The desired side-effect here is that I don't need to specify maxEntries; I can keep as many entries in the cache as possible.

> Allow user to specify percentage threshold upon which eviction will kick in and begin evicting entries based on the specified strategy. This would allow user to create a cache that will attempt to keep as many entries in memory as possible without having to specify maxEntries.
