The current mechanism which allows the user to override the default configuration or the default cache manager doesn't work. This is due to WELD-912.

One solution might be to use a qualifier provided by the extension. If this qualifier is used on a producer the produced configuration or cache manager will override the default configuration or the default cache manager.
