Sanne Grinovero commented on ISPN-1079:
---------------------------------------
Hi Dan,
I do this regularly but using an external script which clones my git repository:
https://gist.github.com/789588
This has another nice benefit: you always run the tests on a very clean clone of the last commit, so you can verify you didn't forget to add any files to the git index. Also, while the tests run you can switch branch and work on something different.

> If a user wants to speed up the build by compiling to a ramdisk, he should be able to set the build directory in ~/.m2/settings.xml, something like this:
> <settings>
> <profiles>
> <profile>
> <properties>
> <buildDirectory>/tmp/privatebuild/${project.basedir}/${project.version}</buildDirectory>
> </properties>
> </profile>
> </profiles>
> </settings>
