AtomicMaps should make use of flags to suppress return values and unnecessary cache loading when internally calling cache.put() to ensure performance regardless of the underlying cache configuration.

This will drastically affect the performance of projects that make use of AtomicMaps, like JBoss AS, Hibernate OGM and ModeShape.
