Great! and thanks for the understanding, there are lots of ways we can spend our time on. I'd like to point out however that in case you need to backport some patch to 5.1 and propose a pull request, we're happy to apply them.

But what I meant to imply is that there are also many good technical reasons to keep up to date at least if you use the community builds: Infinispan 5.3.0.Final resolves lots of issues compared to any 5.1.x so unless you have the bandwith to pick those you need and backport them to the 5.1 branch you should try avoiding to get stuck on older versions.
