Sorry, missed this yesterday. No, I'm no longer working on that. At the time I did I think I found some very strange interplay between eviction and indexing. That means a bug rather than a perf problem. I'll try to brush up the test for this and create a branch to share with you so you can confirm if this works as intended or if it's a bug.
