Sebastian Łaskawiec commented on ISPN-7971:
-------------------------------------------

[~ryanemerson] [~vblagojevic] If you'd like to detect if you're running on Docker, [here's how to do it|https://stackoverflow.com/a/20012536/562699]. If you are interested purely in Kubernetes/OpenShift, you might want to check if KUBERNETES_SERVICE_HOST env variable is set ([here's an example|https://github.com/jgroups-extras/jgroups-kubernetes/blob/master/src/main/java/org/jgroups/protocols/kubernetes/KUBE_PING.java#L67]).

But to be honest, I think there should be a JMX Bean (perhaps on Cache Manager level?), that will expose on what platform are you running on.

> The Infinispan Management Console can also operate in Standalone mode. We would like to make it accessible in OpenShift. However we should probably display a warning that the console should be used only for monitoring and none of the changes are persisted.
