I believe this type of information can be retrieved from Kubernetes API. Actually {{KUBE_PING}} does it to some extend: https://github.com/jgroups-extras/jgroups-kubernetes/blob/master/src/main/java/org/jgroups/protocols/kubernetes/Client.java#L81-L122
