I was able to reproduce in a [unit test|https://gist.github.com/gustavonalle/fe3359b500bd3de69c77fdd9de62d7ab], it happens only when there is a cache store involved. The fact that it works when all nodes are in the same host, is probably because all the nodes share the same path in the cache store.

I'm investigating the cause of the bug.
