Gustavo Fernandes updated ISPN-8752:
------------------------------------
    Description:
The REST server fails to parse

text/html, image/gif, image/jpeg, \*; q=.2, \*/\*; q=.2

According to [RFC-2616|https://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec14.html], media-range is defined as

{noformat}
  media-range    =
                   ( "*/*"
                   | ( type "/" "*" )
                   | ( type "/" subtype )
                   ) *( ";" parameter )
{noformat}

and * is not valid, but the java internal http client sends this in its default requests. More info in https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8163921.

{noformat}

but the REST server fails to parse

text/html, image/gif, image/jpeg, \*; q=.2, \*/\*; q=.2

since it can't recognize the 4th media type:  *; q = .2

EDIT: the '*' is NOT valid according to the RFC, but the java internal http client sends this in its default requests. More info in https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8163921
