We should remove APPLICATION_UNKNOWN media type from the server. Care must be taken to ensure this does not break backward compatibility with the oldest supported HotRod client, as the media type is set to APPLICATION_UNKNOWN in old clients that are not media type aware. 

Furthermore, we need to develop a test mechanism for ensuring that old clients remain backwards compatible.
