Hello Rob,
The reported error is fairly generic so doesn't really reveal any useful
information other than Remoting could not establish a connection.
What is this against standalone or domain?
Has the relevant remoting connection been updated so that it is publicly
accessible?
What URL are you providing to jconsole?
Have you added a user to AS7 and are you entering the username and
password in the dialogue within jconsole?
Ideally a network trace between jconsole and AS7 would help reveal if
there is anything more lower level affecting this.
