The problem with that approach is that that creates a lot of extra work (as was evidenced by the fixes you had to make yesterday, sorry about that, btw). It will become increasingly difficult to make sure that we backport the necessary code and only the necessary code.

Unfortunately, I don't have a better solution... :(
