JBossCommon is now a seperate SVN module: https://svn.jboss.org/repos/common/

"common-old" is more or less the commons module taken out from JBoss-4.0.x, and from that we produced jboss-common v1.0.0.CR1 used in jboss-4.0.5.CR1

The "head" of commons is being refactored by Ruel to produce a version 2 of commons, with the logging subsystem broken out, to be used in jboss head, and other places:

common-core/ 
common-logging-jdk/ 
common-logging-log4j/ 
common-logging-spi/
