Bill,  what do you think about looking at how the embedded stuff he is doing can map to better ide support for jbossas, embedded, mc, esb, etc. ide projects/templates based on different vfs, mc configs that make it easy to develop and deploy to these various environments.

Max says the special packaging and JBoss AS support is in the nightly JBossIDE
