The new custom_action quickstart is now checked in.  It demonstrates multiple ways to create a customizable/configurable action via the ConfigTree and BeanConfiguredAction.  It also demonstrates how to make both a Sync and ASync calls via the ServiceInvoker from a J2SE/main method type of client.
