Its the destination ServiceAnnotationMetaData that is referring to the annotation generated by AnnotationCreator.createAnnotation, so AnnotationProxy has to be Serializable. That requires another microcontainer release. Still looking into the directory deployment issue as I expect its a vfs deployment issue.
