As I said, this is just a renaming of SP2... would you have had CR cycles for that?

Anyway, there's no requirement to have always have CR releases.

It's a judgement call, if a lot has changed (e.g. 1.0 -> 1.2) then it makes sense to have CRs, if not then it doesn't. It depends on the release.
