I forgot to mention a couple of things.

1.  Blocking polling is on the remoting_2_x branch.  The plan is to do a release in time for the next AS releases (community and EAP).

2. You can set the ConnectionValidator ping timeout value with

Also, for comparison purposes, I ran the socket transport version of the stress tests:
