There is already some discussion on the following jira issue about message expiration with JBossMQ:

There is disaggrement as to if this is bug or not, nevertheless, Carlo's testcase fails as follows:

Maybe we need a 3rd party (Tim) to express an opinion.

If there is no resolution by Friday/4th, I'm going to exclude the test from the testsuite.
