I started the detachment of the portlet container 3 weeks ago. 2 days ago I got the testsuite running in standalone tomcat6 which is a good thing. 

The testsuite uses cargo and JBoss Remoting to drive the test suite and the mini portal for the test suite is assembled thanks to JBoss MC 2.0 Beta 3.

The next step is to get it running with Tomcat in JBoss AS 4.2 and JBoss AS 5 Beta. Once that step is achieved I'll remove the portlet container from the 2.6 module.

I'll migrate probably the bridge module as well as it make sense. I'll make the current portlet management code also probably a separate module (currently it is in the portlet container code base).
