Build fail on test errors should be the norm, not the exception.

That way we can have Hudson deploy snapshots which are guaranteed to pass the defined units tests and thus asserts that the snapshot is usable.

Can we also have an option where a mvn deploy fails if the workspace is unclean?
I don't care about a mvn install (although this pollutes the local repo).
