1. I already downloaded that source, and it does not have any of the microkernel source code at all packaged with it and instead automatically downloads the binaries.

Actually, I thought this was a developer question?  I find users on the Users forums usually don't know how to build the product or know where the source code is for certain files.  They only have user related questions not developer questions, but these forums could be different.  I will try there.

ps. I downloaded microkernel now and the source is not there either, instead binaries are being sucked in at build time again and the source is somewhere else.  Is there any documentation on how to build the complete source somewhere so I can start fiddling around?
