You should start with the docs first http://www.jboss.org/jbosstm/docs/index.html

And there is also a short wiki article on using JTS https://www.jboss.org/community/docs/DOC-13179 which was written for a later version than the one you are using but it may still be of use.

And there is lots of stuff on the web which google should pickup.
