Yes, but not statically at the moment.  How you could implement this currently is to write a service that "captures" the request, dispatches it async to the service that does the actual work, and then sets up the HttpResponse with whatever response code makes sense, plus a response payload containing the info needed by the client to make its decisions re getting the eventual response.

I'm not gone on the idea of putting in a "static" mechanism such as that on the JBR Gateway.  What do you think?
