[jboss-dev-forums] [Design of JBoss ESB] - ESB SQL Example

I have been looking through the helloworld_sql_action example that is provided with JBoss ESB.  I was looking through the example files and I am trying to figure out how the ESB knows when to retrieve information from the database.  Is this done through a polling mechanism?  If so where is this configured?  Is this done through triggers on the database?  If so how is this configured?
