It does have pom.xml in trunk -  https://svn.jboss.org/repos/jbosstools/trunk/pom.xml https://svn.jboss.org/repos/jbosstools/trunk/pom.xml and it should work as expected by default with just

mvn clean install

if you don't mind to have your default maven repo be filled with the additional couple gigs of eclipse and company plugins.

Max, are you building trunk or branch version?
